Anchoring, producing and reportingDuring my time as morning anchor at KTUU I would occasionally fill in as the producer. The morning of January 23 I was the anchor, producer AND the reporter.
Just after midnight we got word of a shooting at a local gas station. Our on-call reporter lived 30 miles out of town, he'd never make it in time. I went instead, got the story and made it back in time to put together a show full of fresh, forward-thinking content. This is the A-Block from our 5:30am show. |
